Wireless Charging Coil
The Boxy Pixel MKII electronics board includes solder points that can be used to connect a wireless charging coil.
These modifications require soldering and working with small electronic components. Installation assistance, troubleshooting, and damage resulting from these modifications are outside the scope of our technical support.
Disconnect the battery and all power sources before beginning. Carefully verify all connections before reconnecting power. Incorrect wiring, reversed polarity, or solder bridges may damage the MKII board or other components.
Wireless Charging Coil
A compatible wireless charging receiver coil can be connected directly to the Boxy Pixel MKII electronics board using the VBUS and GND solder points.
1. Locate VBUS and GND on the MKII Board
Locate the solder points labeled VBUS and GND on the MKII board.
2. Connect the Wireless Charging Coil
Solder the wireless charging coil wires to the MKII board as follows:
- Red wire → VBUS
- Black wire → GND
Verify that the red wire is connected to VBUS and the black wire is connected to GND before applying power.
Secure the charging coil and wires so they cannot move, become pinched, or place stress on the solder pads during final assembly.
Before Applying Power
Inspect all solder joints for bridges, loose strands, or incorrect connections. Make sure the wireless charging coil wires are securely routed and cannot contact unintended components.
Before reconnecting the battery, confirm that:
- The wireless charging coil red wire is connected to VBUS.
- The wireless charging coil black wire is connected to GND.
- No solder bridges are present.
- All wires and optional components are securely positioned and will not be pinched during assembly.
