Overview

This is sized after our original “boxy” housings that started it all, and now the 2026 MKII revision takes things further with updated housings and refined electronics. An iPod housing made for those that like to Tinker.  It can fit a iflash quad, solo, dual, uDUAL our 3800 mah battery, and taptic engine. An iPod housing made for those that like to Tinker.

We offer two sizes to fit different build kits. This is the MAX Base housing set — designed for those who want the thee biggest battery and room for mods.  If you prefer, see our MIN Base kit for our more compact housing.

Please note: a battery is not included in this kit. We’re unable to ship batteries outside of the USA, so you’ll need to source one separately.  For this MAX housing, you will need to source a battery with a max size of 55mm wide x 70mm tall x 4mm thick.  If you find another small battery that fits within these dimension or less, it will work however you will need to solder your battery to our PCB.

• Revised Electronics Integration: We’ve updated the internal electronics with TTRS headphone support, Bluetooth 5.0, reverse polarity protection and more.  See the electronics page for more details.
• Enhanced Tactility:  We now offer two different center buttons depending on your iPod - one center button for 5th gen iPods, and another for 6/7
• We have three battery connection options on the electronics board:

1. 1. 1. Conventional iPod type connector
      2. New JST (ACH series) connector type (for our custom 1250 mah battery)
      3. Positive and Negative solder points - for hardwiring your own lithium battery

• Antenna option for better Bluetooth range

• Material: Aerospace-grade CNC machined aluminum/brass.
• Compatibility: Precision-fit for iPod Classic 5th (Video), 6th, and 7th Gen internals.
• Finish: Available in our signature anodized and raw brass finishes.

• Type C: For charge ONLY, however we did add solder points on our board if you choose to solder data lines to the ipod 30 pin connector

• (1) MKII CNC Machined Front Housing (2026 Revised Profile).  This front is compatible with both our MIN and MAX sized rear housing options if you ever decide to change to different size.
• (1) MKII MAX Rear Housing  - enables you to fit a lot more options including iflash with full size SD cards (iflash solo etc),  3800 mah battery and more.

Notes

• This does NOT include a battery as we cannot ship batteries internationally.
• You may need to trim your iflash slightly. Instructions will be posted in our assembly page.
• Although a stock slim hard drive can fit, we do not recommend due to the tight space.
• The battery level indicator will not work properly with this mod.  I am working on ways to possibly add a separate indicator later this year
• The bluetooth board will not connect with all headphones.  I have begun to compile a list of headphones that work, see here.
